Thought Oriented Actions

Every day has pages of story to tell, every action conveys the interest of the person, every face reflects millions of experiences.  Each moment of life is accompanied with millions of body movements which are directed by the stipulated thinking process. Thousands of foot step leads to a unit of length which makes a man to walk miles. Every face reflects thousands of experiences which deliver the melancholic end of an expression. Every day is unique and different from in its dimension moreover the day seems to be shorter due to busy (flow of million thoughts within a stipulated time) and extra large due to blockage of thought process due to stagnant emotions.

The person who is at the starting point of a running race is directed by a single emotion, single thought and focused body movements which deliver the best outcome in the running race. The disintegration of the organized action may occur due to diversion of thoughts and over stress on the body movements. One can reach to the maximum only by withdrawing the mismatching thoughts and regulating the flow of action because the thoughts are delivered into action.

The over reaction to the emotions through down into depression which is unappealing to the normal way of behaviour. As long as one travel to the extremes of a thought, the intensity of unwanted thoughts frozen the active mind.

NB: Each images in this write up conveys a lot of expression, flow of thoughts, body movements, focused action, extremes of diversion of minds and an unanticipated outcome. Watch closely and know the movement…….

‘Power to Change’

Every action has a subordinate reaction and the reaction is caused by a proper reason. Man has been identified as a reasonable being which separate them from all the living beings. But often I feel like man can be called as affective animal with the very fact that the reasonable actions are carried out with a feeling or emotion. Whereas an animal like cat is sensible at the same time affective. For example, when it drinks the milk from the kitchen it observes the surroundings and people at home and it also shows its affection by crying, rolling around, stretching its nails and attacking the enemy. But cat doesn’t think as much as a man think and act, it produce automatic response to save/escape from the danger. Where as a man who is in danger thinks several ways to escape with his untold ideas to protect himself and save the body from harms.

The sun, which gives light to the whole world, thinks of why does it shed light to the world, still it continues because sun knows the purpose of its life is to give light to the world and enjoy doing that. A person can’t focus on two different directions at a time with the very reason that, man should focus either to the positive or negative aspects.

Every individual has the ‘Power to Change’. A little effort to move the big mountain can demolish all obstacles before you, only with the strong heart to achieve it. Everyone can become a change maker with the little heart and a thought to inspire many with a practical reason for a cause. I never ask you to customize yourself to engage in any of the actions you were never heard or seen, practice the little things in your pure heart with a right reason to make the maximum.

Wise men say, right person, at the right time with the right decision makes the actions successful but the destiny is, these three are in different direction and rarely meet each other. In order to make the most effective and memorable action in life, start making sustainable plans which remains in the world even after you wash out. One can live in good memories in the minds of others with the strong start up and structured reasons, then the whole world will follow you with the right spirit.
If you wish to make a memorable living in the hearts of others, get in touch with us to sponsor a child or take care of the educational expense of a child, your little effort will be ever valued and recognized by many.

Live with passion

The purpose of life is to achieve the maximum with limited skills. The passion in each person justifies the reason for every action and the outcome reflects the action carried to attain the passion. The unmemorable acts nourish a person’s thought to do even better with the prior experience.

Everyone has a strong passion for something in their life and often the weak passion is lived by them, which paralyze the will of a person to act or react to the situation but the strong passion urges for strong and focused actions. Such strong passion inspire oneself and others to carryout multiple factor activities in the realm of mind.

Passion is present in our day today life. If we could take a ‘Slice of Life’ which caters the best moments of life and BOTTLE THEM to recap the golden memories with a melancholic smile on face during the crisis situations. If these miserable situations could overtook with the reflection of ‘Bottled memories’, which would definitely brings back the passion to ‘Be the Best’ of all.

During the Annual Sports day at Banyan Community School, the enthusiasm of each team member in appreciating and encouraging the fellow players in striving for the success was with the best effort. The passion of each students who had least opportunities to grow and develop athletic characters in their life situation had an internal passion to explode the maximum during each competition. The quick thoughts invoke the spirit into action and show off the talent of the students. The annual sports day was an occasion to understand the energy, creativity and passion in participating and taking the team with spirit and fun. They are a role model for each one of us to encounter all the situations with hardcore Passion and Action.

Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

When the children from stone quarries started coming to Banyan Community School, 70% of children found under weight and low energy during school activities. The school management identified that it was because they were not having enough nutritious food from family. As the parent’s leaves for work early in the morning and returns to quarry at the sunset, the children’s nutritional needs are not properly taken care. The low earning capacity of parents also affected the three time meals of the family. Moreover the alcoholic habit of parents after the long hours of work in stone quarry left nothing behind for them to save for the next day. Therefore the children will not get sufficient food and later the child turns into malnourished.

When we started the Banyan School project, we understood the need to provide nutritious supplements to children. The supply of nutrition powder improved the health of each child day by day and the outcome was monitored through monthly health check up. We have also experienced that more number of children are tend to be present on every Mondays because they are getting proper nutritious diet after two days of leave.

During the initial monthly health check-ups at school, doctors diagnosed that there is huge numbers of children are malnourished. Now, we are proud to say that after the continuous nutritional support, all the children at Banyan Community School are free from malnourishment. We are maintaining a health chart for each child so that the growth and their needs are easily identified.

Lovedale Foundation focused to provide multidisciplinary approach to the children from vulnerable background. We are not only concentrating education but the holistic development of the children. Quarterly parents meetings and individual counselling programs are organized with the help of professionals and like-minded volunteers, and clarified the doubts of each parents and encourage them to continue their support in sending their children to school.

Opportunity Never Knocks the Door.

The mind is a blank document, each lines are written by our expertise, thoughts and desires. Few lines may be erased and extra thoughts are added in the margins of previous pages with random experiences. The thought process that takes place in the human mind within a fraction of seconds, but the ability to execute the thoughts may take a while. The action is depends upon the quick response of the body to the desired action.

We gained expertise through knowledge, observation and proper understanding of the reality and the world around us. Innovative thoughts were never existed, the ideas were derived through a careful and systematic understanding of the outcome and dynamic execution of the thought.

The students at Banyan Community School are vibrant, innovative and thoughtful in all the aspects of life. The value added skill development programs and life skill education develop an understanding of the current behaviour and action among the society.

The students are blessed with the innovative ideas and ability to express. But, they lack with the platform to express it to a larger audience due to financial constrains and under privileged background. The students have a capacity to utilize the maximum opportunities within school with the help of volunteers and committed staffs. The opportunities never knocks the door, the doors of Banyan School students are always open for the opportunities.

As an entrepreneur, business man or working in any streams of work, if you find any opportunity for the school going children, please contact us in 080-65908001 / info@lovedalefoundation.org

Small World, Big Thinking

I doubt if God has made a mistake at the time of his creation because he has created small earth for the people with big thinking. The earth could have been the biggest among all the planets and the star, then the place where the human being exist could have become similar to the thinking capacities of the people.

Every man has a positive energy that transfers to another person while discussing, interacting and sharing the ideas. The individual with limited skill also has a kind ‘Heart’ which empowers the lives of many through personal or joined efforts. God has made very different kind of heart to each one of us to express the affection towards others. The affections such as love, care, empathy and concern for the fellow being is expressed by people completely different from person to person. That may be the reason; no scientist could define a unit to measure the heart of human being. The heart is like a sky which stretches as much as it can and withdraws to a size of human brain.

There is a huge gap between the nomadic way of life style to the so called ‘3rd Generation’ which was evolved due to the high thinking capabilities of many intelligent people whose thoughts and ideas can never me measured. A person at the age of 10 can imagine a life of teenager and an old age man can reflect his/her childhood for hours if he/she loves to go back to the old memories.

The children at Banyan Community School are coming from very poor family background of uneducated parents, life of poverty strikes, unskilled parents, migrants and unstructured family life. After joining the Banyan Community School, the children started to travel ahead of their times and age. They aspire to become someone who is a role model for the upcoming generation or create a land mark in their life by achieving a successful career. Unfortunately, there is a huge gap to reach to their destination due to financial crisis and lack of support from the parents. Each one of us can build a stepping stone for them through our supports and extended hands.

Now I realize, God is the master mind of all of us by creating small human beings with a heart which can enlarge according to the convenience of each one of us. The control of our heart is in our hand, the decision has to be made in enlarging or shrinking in the small brains of each one of us.

If not now, then when, if not here, then where, if not me then who???

Why are we alone?

I am not passionate about why these many kids are know by the name ‘ORPHAN’ but I am doubtful about the treatment of these children in the society. Every day the numbers of orphanages, the enrolment in orphanages are increasing, along with the reasons to be an orphan. Is it because of their destiny or are they born to be orphan? Would they be ready to born if they are aware of the fact that they are gonna be called as ‘ORPHANS’ throughout their life?

When I write this article, many stories glimpse in my mind about the stories I heard from different people and experienced the life situations of many. ‘Parents are always a blessing for one who do not have any and often children who hesitate to listen to the parents are mostly feel like, why can’t they be bit more soft to me unlike my friends parents.

Unlike any other child, few qualities I observed from the children are, they are adjustable to any harsh and soft situations and have the will power to face any difficulties. As an individual we can provide everything such as accommodation, comfortness, living facilities but not a ‘Father or Mother.

As kind hearted individuals like us can have an attitude of support, care and love and openness to accept who they are and what they are and willingness to support them to brings more life to our ‘Happy Life’.

The real heroes

http://youtu.be/jEdvGy5M6GY

Smile - many words, many expressions, many interpretations, many faces but only one feeling. Anybody can become a hero, millionaire, celebrity but the real heroes always stand behind the Curtain. We all are born to meet a purpose drawn by Him, few of us serve it gently, others make it their way and few of them go against it. But the inborn potentials remains within them to do justice to  the work. When you feel to lift your single finger to help a person, your heart prepares you to carry him, when you feel to give some thing to a man, your mind prepares you to buy something, or search your pocket for few coins, when you handover a things to a needy person do not stop your heart to think further more for a second donation. The moment you feel that you have done your duty, you are unknowingly becoming blind to many things in the world. It can be affection, sadness, love and belongingness. Your gentle touch, presence for a moment or a small amount of money can make a huge difference in the lives of many. Wen you complain about one thing, there would be people sitting with zero's and smiling at their problems. It's difficult for a person to laugh at his failure or loss and make others smile, because each human beings are born with limited capacities. But the smile you made on an unknown person may not be recognized by many but a single smile conveys a lot.

If you agree with my thoughts, share this with your friends, if not, comment your views, and let the world know different interpretations for 'smile'.

“You don’t have to be poor to serve the poor”

Every day we wakes up with lots of enthusiasm, strength and passion to do many things for others, but the end of the day we get back to bed with tiring face, confused mind and a guilty thought that the day was too busy. Each time when we see a mother at traffic holding her child, we tend to close the car window and turn our heads towards other side, but we love to tell others that I love charity and I have helped so many people in several ways but most of our charity works are not recognized.
During the week of ‘Daan Utsav’ many corporate, individuals and benefactors come up with their portion of charity to different orphanages and the people in need. As a non-profit organization, Lovedale foundations also accept and encourage charity. We look after 350 children from orphanages and quarries to provide quality education, nutrition and skill development trainings with the help of volunteers and other like minded individuals. There are companies that visit the school. They spend a day with these angels. Most often they come with an attitude of giving, but by the end of the day they realize that it was not just a day of giving but rather they themselves have a lot to take back i.e. they had lot of happy memories too…

The children are also benefited from the visit of the companies, they get to see a lot of people, learn the art of communication and interact with people. The children get an ambition looking at them to come up in life, to get out of this vicious circle of poverty. The Banyan Community School is known for its unique way of bringing up the underprivileged children. The school is surrounded in an Eco- friendly atmosphere, where children get an equal opportunity to learn and develop and also explore the latent talents in them.

Several individual donors choose to be part of charity works to get a tax exemption, sometimes even without knowing the cause of why they are donating for. But the small or big donation can make a big difference in the life of people we serve. As the saying goes on “You don’t have to be poor to serve the poor”.

When The Corporate Treadmill Stops

Recently, while with a group of young people at ServiceMax, a corporate office in Bangalore to discuss about the ways in which they can pitch in through their csr activities for the children at The Banyan Community School, I realized a shift of energy of the people in that "Meeting Room" as we started getting a little deeper into the presentation; from serious corporate strategies and logical lateral thoughts that they were used to, that would come straight from their head, they were sitting around smiling and thinking like children long lost in memories of their childhood as they drafted plan after plan to engage and entertain the children that seemed to flow straight from their heart.

At times like these, I humbly bow to these wonderful souls who despite running a rigorous corporate treadmill find time to get in touch with the softer, calmer and sensitive side of their souls to ensure a lingering smile on the faces of children they hardly know.

Marching Forward

As we are in the process of setting back systems, policies and codes in place, a new team gears up taking up various roles and positions at LDF with fresher ideas, missions and goals to achieve; each day at LDF is packed with energy engaging with people and their dreams-for themselves as well as the organization.
The thrill of adventure in the young and the bliss of achievement in others is something worth watching as the team grows filling up with professionals flowing in from diverse cultures and a diaspora of traditions. They say there is something magnetic about LDF that attracts people to work with us and I do stand to witness it and testify the same.
As we carefully select the team to ensure that they are not just passionate in words yet also in action, I look forward to seeing a fuller team that will support one another and have the joy of working together in a place that looks forward to put back the smile in every child's face.

What Does It Mean?!

Last week, there was a Parents-Teachers meeting held at the Banyan-the school that children from vulnerable communities take pride to walk into. Post meeting, the results for the previous academic year were announced and report cards distributed in the classrooms. Nothing different ofcourse...
While walking through the corridors, thinking of the celebrations that will be happening in some of their homes, I realized that some of the parents were holding the report cards in their hands and scratching their heads and seemed confused inside the classrooms. Making an enquiry, I realized that most of the parents neither knew how to read nor to write and were clueless what the "A's", "A+" and "%" in the cards they were holding meant; those letters and numbers in small boxes seemed to them like strange symbols they said and were wondering if their children had done any serious mistake. Interestingly, some of the kids who had got a series of A+s and high percentiles, which we seem to understand, came from homes where the parents had never gone to school and who needed help in understanding that a simple pat, a smile and a sweet word of appreciation can do magic to these kids who were already doing wonders here at school.
Miles to go before we sleep...

To Answer The Question, "Who Are You?"

Lovedale Foundation (LDF) is a fully integrated not-for-profit organization that delivers innovative module of community-based holistic programs in rural India since 2001. With a Vision, “To provide intellectual and moral leadership by igniting the minds of children and youth to realize their potential and make positive contributions to the society and to the nation at large,” LDF intends to redefine the existing system of charity activities into highly effective development initiatives through scalable and sustainable solutions. LDF has not only accomplished numerous milestones but is also creating an institution that is a unique model of a community movement that takes responsibility for its weak and vulnerable sections of the society.

In the pic. Remember the time when our hands would rise before our minds could think when the teacher asks us a question?(!) A child from 'The Banyan' a school run by Lovedale Foundation, which thrives for international standards in promoting quality education and reserves its admission to only those people living Below Poverty Line-as measured in India, children with special needs, children from slums and orphans. Will pen about it in the next posts to come...
